VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

JOURNEY COACH

Meet with single parent to assess their needs.  Listen to their sotry and develop a "journey plan" for resources for their family to assist in the help and healing they need.  Follow up regularly.

FINANCIAL CRISIS COACH

Meet one-on-one with members to help make good financial decisions for immediate crisis issues.  Help families develop a short term plan to get on track financially.

COUNSELORS

Professional and/or intern counselors to provide guidance and direction in individual and support group settings.

WORKSHOP VOLUNTEERS

One Parent plus Kids- Building a Healthy Single Parent Home

Children- be a small group helper to assist children and be an encourager to them

Adults-assist through the stages of grief recovery, parenting skills and building a healthy home

Controlling Finances- lead a small group through Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey  (10 weeks)

Legal- presentations from family law attornies

Love and Logic Parenting- present outstanding study on parenting skills

Career and Education- career assessment, interviewing, resume writing, basic Microsoft Office skills and job board

Cooking in the Kitchen- fun classes for kids

RESOURCE NETWORK

Assist in developing   "partnership networks" for resources in the community that would be available to single parents.

CHILDCARE

Provide childcare during all workshops.

PRAYER TEAM

Cover members, volunteers and staff in prayer each week
